By accessing or using SlateCinema (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What SlateCinema is

SlateCinema is a personal film and television recommendation tool. It uses your swipe history to build a taste profile and surface titles you are likely to enjoy. It is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your access codes.
You must provide a valid email address to use the Service.
You may not create accounts for others without their consent.
One account per person. Household sharing is supported through the built-in household feature.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the SlateCinema API.
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems.

Content

Film metadata, posters, and descriptions displayed in SlateCinema are sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB) and are subject to their terms. SlateCinema does not host or distribute any film or television content.

Availability

SlateCinema is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SlateCinema and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of SlateCinema after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
